In this lesson Craig Judelman teaches “Twin Sisters” based on the playing of West Virginia fiddler Melvin Wine. It’s a fun, up-tempo tune with lots of opportunity for variety in bowing.

So glad I happened upon this lesson. I am learning it right now from Bruce Molsky in his course Old Time Fiddle at Peghead Nation. He calls it “Jenny Baker” from the version recorded in the 1930s by Kentucky fiddler Andy Palmer with the Jimmy Johnson String Band. It is known in Ireland as a hornpipe called “The Boys of Blue Hill”.
